Lucknow: In a shocking turn of events, the lifeless body of a 30-year-old man, Vinay Srivastava, was discovered at a residence owned by Union Minister and BJP MP Kaushal Kishore on the outskirts of Lucknow. The incident, which took place around 4 am on Friday in Begariya village, has raised several questions, not least because the firearm involved belongs to the Minister’s son, Vikas Kishore.
The Intricacies of Friendship and Suspicion
Srivastava was more than just an acquaintance to Vikas; he was a close friend. Yet, the victim’s brother is convinced that this was no accidental death but a premeditated murder.
- The Minister’s son had flown to Delhi a day before the incident, leaving behind the very pistol that would later be involved in his friend’s death.
- The question that looms large is, why did Vikas leave the weapon behind, especially when he usually took it with him?
The Minister’s Stand
Kaushal Kishore, who serves as the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs, has been forthright about his son’s absence during the incident.
- He presented boarding passes and a flight photo as evidence of Vikas’s whereabouts.
- “Vikas didn’t take the pistol because it’s not nationally licensed,” the Minister clarified.
The Law Takes Its Course
The police have registered an FIR and are questioning the six individuals who were present in the house at the time. “If anyone is found guilty, they will be punished. We stand with Vinay’s family and the law,” assured the Minister.
Unanswered Questions
While the Minister and his son may assert their innocence, the victim’s family is far from convinced.
“This is a planned conspiracy.
Why did they kill my brother? Vinay would never do something like this to himself,” said Srivastava’s brother, adding another layer of complexity to an already intricate case.
The incident is under rigorous investigation, and as the Minister himself stated, “The culprits will not be spared.” But as we wait for justice to be served, the incident serves as a grim reminder of the fragility of life and the labyrinthine nature of human relationships.
