Ghaziabad Tragedy Trio's Sinister Plot Ends in Canal Murder

In a chilling turn of events, Ghaziabad witnessed a heinous crime that has sent shockwaves throughout the community. The city’s serene canals, often a symbol of tranquility, became the backdrop for a sinister plot that culminated in the tragic death of a young woman.

The Victim and The Accused

The lifeless body of Pinky Gupta, a 24-year-old woman, was discovered floating in a canal near Wave City on the Noida-Ghaziabad border.

  • The discovery, made just two days ago, has unraveled a tale of betrayal, jealousy, and cold-blooded murder.

Among those arrested in connection with Pinky’s death is Suman Yadav (29), a resident of Noida Sector 63. Suman, who once shared living quarters with Pinky, is believed to have orchestrated this grim act with her brother, Nanhe, and brother-in-law, Rakesh Yadav (33), hailing from Aligarh.

The Motive Behind the Murder

Diving deeper into their intertwined lives, it was revealed that Pinky and Suman, both separated from their respective spouses, had once lived together.

  • Pinky, after initiating a relationship with Nanhe, chose to marry another.
  • However, upon her return a fortnight ago, she began pressuring Nanhe for marriage.
  • This, according to Vivek Yadav, DCP (rural), was the catalyst that led Suman and Nanhe to conspire against Pinky, roping in Rakesh for the grim task.

The Fateful Night

On the ill-fated Saturday evening, Suman spiked Pinky’s soft drink with sedatives.

  • Once Pinky was rendered unconscious, the trio, in a display of audacity, took her to a dhaba in Wave City.
  • After their meal, they proceeded to push the unsuspecting victim into the canal.

The police, utilizing CCTV footage, identified Pinky in the company of the accused. Subsequently, an FIR was lodged against the trio under sections 302 (murder) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC.
